Standard paper corner boards are not waterproof β the material is paper. Water resistance can, however, be added in several ways:
- PE film lamination β a PE film is bonded to the surface for good water and moisture resistance.
- Waterproof-agent impregnation β the board is impregnated through to improve water tolerance.
- Wax coating β a waxed surface, suitable for cold-chain logistics and refrigerated storage.
- Film covering β a waterproof film applied to the outer face.
For sea freight, humid destinations or cold-chain applications, choose a waterproof grade board. We can produce waterproof boards in the same sizes as standard profiles.
