Using corner boards is straightforward. The four most common applications:
- Pallet unitising — place one board on each of the four corners of the load, then strap horizontally and vertically.
- Carton stacking — put boards on the corners of each layer to add stacking strength and stop cartons being crushed.
- Single-item protection — apply the board to the product edge and fix with tape or stretch film.
- Frame and panel protection — clip a U-shaped board over the edge to prevent impact damage.
Points to watch
- The open side of the profile should face the direction of the force.
- Choose a length that matches the height of the goods.
- Strap across the middle of the board, not the ends.
- In damp conditions use a waterproof grade board.
