Paper corner boards β also known as edge protectors, corner protectors, paper angles or edge boards β are L-shaped or U-shaped strips made from laminated kraft paper and paper-tube board, pressed into shape on a specialised corner-board machine.
What they are used for
- Protecting cargo edges β absorb impact and stop edges being crushed in transit.
- Reinforcing stacked cartons β add vertical strength so stacks do not deform or collapse.
- Unitising pallet loads β work with the pallet to hold the whole load square and prevent tilting.
- Cushioning β buffer vulnerable edges, faces and corners of the product itself.
- Strapping protection β stop PET/steel banding from cutting into the goods.
Because they are 100% paper, they are recyclable, need no fumigation and can be exported with the goods as-is.
